Each month, we publish Convergence, a monthly newsletter that provides a brief update on the work we are doing to unify the efforts to help families achieve and sustain homeownership.


May

This month we highlight HLP's new relationship with Affinity Patnerships to make HLP.Guru available to millions of consumers across the country. Furthermore, we look at HLP's audit program that ensures compliance with partner and regulatory requirements. Lastly, we discuss a new grant from CBC Mortgage to support HLP's mission as well as the first round of trainings for Pennsylvania counseling agencies to be ready for PHFA's launch of HLP systems.

April

This month we highlight the work of key Philadelphia and Pennsylvania government agencies choice of HLP to streamline foreclosure mediation process. Additionally, we discuss HLP's new agreement with Hosting to help protect HLP customer data and provide 24/7 network availability. Lastly, we welcome Clarifi and GreenPath as Gurus into HLP.Guru.

March

This month we start by discussing HLP's integration into Trio Residential’s innovative lease-to-own homebuyer program. Next, we introduce PHFA's standard-setting deployment of HLP technology to serve the citizens of Pennsylvania. Lastyly, we end with Finance of America's offering of HLP.Guru to their declined mortgage applicants.

February

This month we announce our work with CityVision to build a platform for the intake and processing of fair housing complaints. Additionally, U.S. Bank and Nationstar have adopted the new post-HAMP home retention case type. We end the issue by providing an update on HLP's new Servicer Advisory Council as well as hear some thoughts from Gary Lacefield of CityVision regarding how best to tackle fair housing issues.

January

December

This month we announce our continued support for counsleors and servicers after the expiration of HAMP. Additionally, we call for 1,000 nonprofit housing counselors to sign a petition encouraging all servicers to use HLP. We also provide an udpate on Freddie Mac's deployment of HLP to support their Borrower Help Centers. Lastly, HLP CEO, Cam Melchiorre, gives his thoughts on 2016 as well as discusses HLP's plans for 2017.

November

This month we announce Wells Fargo Housing Foundation's grant to HLP to provide potential home buyers with access to HLP.Guru to help them qualify for a mortgage loan. Next we provide an update on the robust security infrastructure in place for HLP.Guru. Lastly, we end this month's issue with thoughts from Milt Sharp of eHome America on trends in online education for homeownership.

October

This month announce Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency's decision to use HLP systems to manage its flow of data, provide new capabilities to Pennsylvania's nonprofit housing counseling agencies, and much more! Additionally, we discuss the launch of Finance of America's program to provide six months of HLP.Guru to applicants who are unable to qualify for a mortgage loan. Lastly, we share some thoughts from Steve O'Connor of the Mortgage Banker's Association on

September

In this month's issue of Convergence we dive deep into U.S. Bank's use of Homeowner Connect to let homeowners apply directly for a loan modification. We then explore Finance of America's affinity program for nonprofit ccounselors and their clients, announce both Caliber and Seterus as fully participating servicers with HLP, and announce City Vision's adoption of HLP's case management system to process fair housing discimination complaints. Lastly, Tim Walsh of Finance of America shares his thoughts on the company's commitment to helping families achieve and sustain homeownership.

This month we highlight Ditech's use of HLP.Guru to help declined applicants become ready to buy a home. Additionally, we take a look at US Bank's expansive deployment of HLP's technology platform going live on August 1st in their servicing operations. Lastly, we share thoughts from Laura Reichel, SVP for Ditech, on the company's commitment to helping families achieve and sustain homeownership.

June

This month we are excited to announce a new pricing & enrollment procss for HLP.Guru. Published results of the June survey show that nearly two-thirds of the nation's nonprofit housing counseling agencies said they need help in marketing and publicizing their services to potential home buyers.

May

This month we announce the start of a new national outreach program with Ditech for borrowers eligible for FHFA's new principal forgiveness program. Furthermore, we are publishing the results of the most recent national sruvey of nonprofit counselors about the opportunities and challenges they see for helping their clients. Lastly, Patty Hasson, President of Clarifi, discusses the issues faced by people seeking counseling.

April

This month we discuss the start of three significant new HLP system deployments with Freddie Mac, US Bank and Ditech. Additionally, Mark Cole, HLP’s chief strategy officer, shares his thoughts on why more organizations are turning to HLP technology to support their business goals.
